Perfect Brownies - Product Review

9 months ago I bought my BFF one of those 'as seen on tv' perfect brownie sets
today we finally pulled it from its box to try it out!

First we had to find the best brownies ever *Betty Crockers Triple Chunk Chocolate

After bathing the teflon nonstick surface in spray per instructions
it still pulled the tops off and left parts behind.
Also it was not a simple pull the get your brownies either
I had to use a spatula to keep the bottoms from ripping.

Good part - bottom did not leak
Bad part - not as non stick as they want you to believe

Now if we had cooked the brownies to where they were completely dry
and allowed them to cool completely I am sure they would have been fine.

Lets face it though - I DON'T LIKE THEM THAT WAY!
I like a warm soft brownie!

The end result buy at your own risk
I give it 3 stars

As always good for B! I have not lost anymore weight but have maintained.

I think the stress and the bad eating have kept me from losing more but thankfully I have not gained!

Turkey on Sprouted Wheat

Still eating for blood type B

Sprouted wheat bread - made locally in bountiful so bonus as support within my own state!
Honey Turkey (Healthy One)
Apple Cheddar Cheese (best cheese in the world! I normally eat it with crackers!)
Iceberg Lettuce
Carrots
Peas
Grapes

Thin layering of Light Miracle Whip on the bread and Ready to Eat!

Drinks today were: Coffee, Green Tea & Water (all ok)

Everything listed and shown above falls into the eating FOR B Type blood.
Will I miss some foods? Yes.
Can I survive without them? Oh yeah!
Eating this way can not only help improve my health, help me lose weight but can improve my energy as well as my brain functions, cholesterol and BP.

I am three chapters into the book Eat Right for your Type and recommend it seriously to everyone. It changes how you see things, especially food.
There are no limits, no fancy math on what to eat and when. You eat when your hungry and enough to curb your appetite!

This is not a make do, its a lifestyle change.
Can you cheat? Yes.
Should you cheat often? No.

After years of eating healthy and not losing weight this diet makes sense. I will keep you updated on my weight (will weigh in tomorrow) and my over all health and energy.

Breakfast & Lunch

Ok I am on Chapter two of the book "Eat Right for your Type". Meaning blood type.
Reading through the list it was easy to see all the things I had been doing WRONG. This morning I focused on eating foods on my list that are GOOD for me.

That's right! Oatmeal & apples for breakfast, and a WHITE tortilla, eggs, parsley, salt & onion with Turkey bacon - I could have added cheese as well if we still had some! (Loving the B blood type!)

Foods I will miss the most pumpkins, tomatoes, pepper and Chicken. Is this going to be hard - not really.
I found that most of the foods on my list are the foods I CRAVE!

Ironically my children with their O'ness need more of a hunter gatherer diet - which suits the foods they CRAVE!
Tonight I hit the stores and will be stocking up on supplies for the kids and I food that will help balance out our bodies.
Why the kids?
If this works (of course they swear it does and right now it makes a lot of sense) then I want my children used to eating for their bodies. It is so much easier to grow up eating one way then to change when your an adult!
In my tab section I will have recipes easily labeled under "Eating for (b/o)".

If anyone else has done this lifestyle change or follows someone who does please leave me a comment!

Our Relationship to Food

Recently I have been made aware of a book titled, "Eat Right for your Type" meaning eating for your blog type. I have just started this fascinating read and I am willing to shop and eat for my type for at least two weeks - then we go camping and I will fudge a bit - but most likely will pick it back up.

Simply reading through their list of foods I need to avoid can easily explain why I have been eating "healthy" and still gaining weight. I am eating socially acceptable foods that my body is having a harder time processing.
I will be following the Blood group B diet as well as the O for my children. Not sure what my hubby is we may need to get him retyped.

At first glance I have to say this sounds very promising - also explains why many do great on hunter gather diets and others don't the "O"s fall into that grouping. Its also what they believe is the "root" blood type, the oldest of all of them.

I will be honest, opened and as impartial as I can be while on this diet. I will give FACTS, as well as show my recipes.

I promise not to make this a Do it My Way food blog. If this becomes a lifestyle choice I will let you know!

What is cheating?

I recently found a blog post
that said any Foodie
who makes or uses processed or frozen premade foods
is NOT a foodie.

As well as that
If you don't use Fresh Whole foods
You don't deserve to blog, eat, or even READ foodie articles.

First off obviously this type of person has NEVER been strapped for cash
second I also highly doubt that they have children.

To me ALL food can be good.
It only needs to be cooked properly.
(no this does not mean that all premade food are equal if you can afford quality buy it)
Do I loved fresh?
All handmade food?
Designer and imported Cheeses?
Oh heck yeah!
Am I a snob?
 Nope?
Am I a fake?
Nope
Do I cook what I can to the best of my talents?
Yes.

I am a real woman, cooking on a real budget, for my real family.
If that makes me a lesser foodie to some
so be it.
;)
